On October 16th, Mr. Amit Shah, Home Minister, will launch a medical education course in Hindi. The course comprises translated MBBS first-year books that will be launched in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of the state, on Monday, stated that this is the first time in India that MBBS will be taught in Hindi. He noted that this course in Hindi will change the perception that medical and engineering courses cannot be learned and taught in Hindi.

He called this a step in putting into practice the idea that one can move ahead in life through education in the Hindi medium too. Medical books on anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology in Hindi will be released by Mr. Shah.

The CM added that it is the resolve of the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi that the medium of education should be in one’s mother tongue. He further added that the MP government is also developing books for engineering and technical studies in Hindi.
